At first I was also confuse what does it even mean? How can I eat a frog and what is Pomodoro? Is it some cutlery use to eat frog or any fancy name for being brave, I enrolled in the course with mind full of doubts. As a procrastinator I was delighted to know that there is a trick to finish your task within a time and the frog we are about to eat is the lazy frog with a Pomodoro.

Pomodoro is an Italian word which means sauce made out of tomatoes served with pasta, No doubt it is of Italian origin. Now eating a lazy frog with Pomodoro technique was relatively a trick for me, if I have to explain this technique is simple words it would go as “A time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks.” So I grabbed my mobile and set the stopwatch timer to 25 minutes and got ready to finish a task. The task I was about to start off was to complete an Oral Surgery chapter which usually takes around 3–4 hours to finish. Now what I was about to witness was not less than a magic. I started my stop watch and kept my focus in my book, right at the moment my mobile vibrated and there was a notification of WhatsApp I wrote the disturbance down and kept my focus. In no time the timer rang and I took a 2 minutes short break, after which I started studying again. There were not much of the disturbance in this session other than a little day dreaming and then the timer rang again, I took a 2 minute small break, rehydrated myself and started again and in the last two session I had no disturbance or inconvenience and when a analyzed how much I have finished I was really impressed that I had almost completed the chapter and needed only another 15–20 minutes.

This trick really worked for me and I consider this to apply every time I study. It keeps your mind fresh and not let you get tired of the study. It is an easy yet highly rewarding technique. It really does wonder.
